Entering an entertainment venue will require the use of a ticket that can be in the form of an RFID tag, QR code, barcode, or paper ticket. Tickets can be validated manually by the staff using handheld devices, or automatically via reader-mounted access gates. We offer three different types of waist-high access gates - tripod turnstiles, flap barriers, and swing gates. These three types of gates can be ordered in full-height versions, and you can also choose gates with wheelchair access.

Tripod Turnstiles

  • Choice of two or three rotating arms
  • Designed to allow one person to pass at a time
  • Can be programmed to allow access both ways or just one way
  • Solidly built with a powder-coated or stainless steel finish
  • Semi-automatic variant — guests need to push the arms and enter
  • Automatic variant — the arms automatically move to a 20-30 degree angle

Flap Barriers

  • Have flaps that slide in and out to control access
  • Due to its intuitive design, it allows guests to move quickly
  • Opens automatically after successful ticket validation
  • Access can be bi-directional or single-directional
  • The flaps are made of plastic plates, acrylic, or toughened glass
  • Recommended for venues with high footfall

Swing Gates

  • The flap opens in or out like a gate
  • Allow access in either direction or just one
  • Built with plastic plates or toughened glass
  • Typically used for special access entries where the gates are longer than 900 mm

RFID Readers for Automated Validation

  • Access gates can be mounted with the Tixera XCESS Reader
  • Can validate cards or wristbands with RFID, Barcode, or QR Code
  • Rugged single mould design with a bright, fullscreen tap area
  • LED indicators with visuals and a buzzer for easy validation
  • Can support both wired and wireless networks
